In my experience as a consultant working with the majority of Unified Communications/Hosted VOIP providers out there, I’ve identified three key areas where most leave much to be desired.
- The suite of solutions (voice/video/messaging/screen share) is not truly “Unified”
- They lack the Security inherent to a traditional premise based phone system
- “Plug and Play” can be more like Plug and PRAY when not coupled with guarantied quality of service (QoS)
